CLOSED FOR THE SEASON

 Hello, all,

Irish Mountain Orchard is now closed for the 2022 season.  Thank you to those of you who tried our new u-pick venture; we hope you enjoyed sharing the great fruit and the beauty of our orchard!  For those of you who didn't, we hope you'll plan on giving it a try in 2023.

Special thanks to all of our loyal customers who came back in our first year open following Covid-19.  We really enjoyed seeing our friends again, and we loved hearing that you had missed the orchard and were glad we opened again!

We also enjoyed meeting many new people who stopped in for the first time...thank you for coming, and we hope to see you again next year.

We wish all of you a happy and safe holiday season!

U-PICK IS WRAPPING UP FOR THE SEASON

In preparation for the 20 degree temperatures we have been experiencing the past couple of days, we had to finish picking the Honey Crisp that we had reserved for u-pick customers.  You are still welcome to pick whatever you find in the orchard, but pretty much all the varieties have been harvested.  Apples can still  be purchased pre-bagged; we have Honey Crisp, Zestar!, and Haralson available.  The self serve station is open daily from 10-6, and we are staffed Saturdays and  Sundays.

We also will have bulk small or imperfect Honey Crisp apples available by the bushel only on Saturdays and Sundays.  If you are  interested in making applesauce or pies, etc., this is a great way to purchase at a deeply discounted price of $40.  These are apples we would use ourselves but have blemishes or are smaller than we like.

We would love to see you at the orchard!

Fall Means Apples!

Whenever we think of fall, apples come to mind immediately.  We've been having a good year here at the orchard, and we thank our customers for that!  We've heard from so many that they are very glad to have us open again, and we truly appreciate that!  We missed seeing all of our friends and customers, too, and we enjoy catching up on the past couple of years.

Most of the picking for the broker is done, and we have plenty of apples left on the trees for those of you who want to pick your own.  People  have really enjoyed the u-pick, and it's been fun  for us to watch little kids enjoying an apple they picked themselves!  They are so excited!  We currently have Zestar!, Honey Crisp, Haralson and RubyJon.  There will be a very small number of Firesides later in the month.

The pears were a real hit this year, and hopefully you got a chance to try them; if not, there's always next year.  I've started a list of those who want to be notified when pears are ready next year!

We are planning to be open at least through the end of October, and later if there is demand for apples.   If you haven't yet made it out t o the orchard, we hope to see you soon!
